Anna Paquin was born in New Zealand and raised in Canada. She is a Canadian-New Zealander who has been in movies including X-Men, X-Men, and Fly Away Home. Though she didn't have any plans to become an actor, fate took a opposite path. The actress turned down a number of requests she received following her first film's success to pursue her education. Her return to film came at the age of 14 to portray the mutant Rogue in X-Men which was the very first film in the X-Men film series. Her role in the film brought her worldwide fame. The actress reprised her character as the character 'Rogue' on sequels including "X2" and "X-Men: The Final Stand. The actress also had brief appearances on screen, such as 'Elaine Goodale' in "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee,' for which she received her first nomination for an Emmy. She was soon inundated with requests for appearances in the television series. She was in 'True Blood,' 'Flack as well as a host of others.
